We pledged our love...

...but do my wedding vows cover this?
With our fourth wedding anniversary coming up in exactly one week, my husband had some news this morning that was not entirely welcome.
“Transformers 3 is out,” he said.
For my part, I had thought the subject was closed last week upon our viewing of the Transformers 3 trailer, upon which I declared that as watching Transformers 2 had proven to be one of the pinnacles of boredom of my 27 years upon this earth, I would not be watching Transformers 3.
“I watched Jane Eyre with you and your girlfriends,” my husband said.
Here follows a familiar debate in our marriage, wherein I recall theater viewings of X-Men, The Green Hornet, The Green Lantern, The Hulk and The Fantastic Four, and he points to theater viewings of Pride and Prejudice, Becoming Jane, and Elizabeth: The Golden Age, along with dark, heavy hints that if I do not attend the latest superhero franchise film, he will not be attending the next Austen adaptation.
Please help me find my way through this marital quagmire.
To be fair to my husband, I invite you to click on this comic for last year’s post on his extraordinary stamina for British period romances.
